Handed over to ICE — a habeas answer in two weeks and a $12,000 bond.

He was stopped by the police, handcuffed and handed over to ICE.

He already had his own lawyers — Kent Law Partners. Mr. Taskin took the case right away. The client was told the habeas answer should come within two weeks — and it did: two weeks later the answer arrived.

At the hearing were the prosecutor, the judge and his representative, Mr. Taskin. The court set bond at $12,000.

ICE knocked right on Arsen's window. Several cars and officers were outside. “Handcuffs, chains — and they took me away.”

He was already prepared to self-deport: it felt like there was no other way out.
